I drew the beach image for my friend Reyna, and ever since then, I've wanted to go to this particualr beach.

Copyright Info

I'm sure you and I both would rather be sitting on the beach than reading (or writing) about copyright information. To that end, and to help keep things as simple as possible, here is the nuts and bolts of what you can and can't do with the clipart.

The basic idea is this. I don't want any money for the clipart, but I do shamelessly want the fame. Well, maybe a little shame, but I still want it. You can use the clipart in almost any way you like, and below is an extensive list of some examples of what you can do (and what other people already have done), as well as what you can't do. All I ask is that if you use it, put a little copyright notice next to the image or somewhere on the same website that includes the clipart that looks like this:

Copyright © by Tony Martin.

- or -

© by Tony Martin.

There are only a few ways you can't use the clipart, and a couple things you can't do. They are also listed below. When in doubt, just drop me an email at tony@noeticart.com and I'll try and clear up any confusion you may be experiencing (my bad). In the end, I want you to get some use out of the clipart and have some fun with it! So are the very, very helpful lists:

Examples of what you CAN do:

  • Use the clipart in your non-profit website or endeavor
  • Use the clipart in your for-lots-of-profit website or endeavor (with minor exclusions below)
  • Make T-Shirts with the clipart on it for yourself or to sell
  • Modify the clipart top suit your needs (but the copyright still remains in my possession)
  • Make greeting cards for yourself or to sell with the clipart on it
  • Put up to 10 examples of the clipart on your own website for download for the purpose of pointing people back to this website, or showing where you got your clipart (if you do this, you have to link back to this website and include the copyright notice mentioned above)
  • Use a clipart image as part of your company logo
  • Use the clipart in schoolwork such as your own website or report (or other school project)
  • Use the clipart as illustrations in books or magazines
  • Use the clipart on your company intranet or internet site
  • Use the clipart on your personal website, Facebook or Myspace pages, or blog
  • Put an enlarged version of a clipart image on the back of your boat
  • Use the clipart to promote your charitable cause, as long as you expressly claim, somewhere, that I am not associated with your cause (unless you want me to help promote your cause - if I like it, I may be extremely glad to help)
  • Use it in the software or help system you are creating (as long as it's not a clipart or graphics collection)
  • Use the clipart to promote your band or music
  • Use any of the clipart in the teaching materials for your class or to help promote your school
  • Use the clipart to advertise neighborhood events like yard sales

What you CANNOT do:

  • Copy all the clipart to your own website for downloads, even if you don't charge money for it
  • Sell the clipart in any way, shape, or form, or as part of any bundle or deal for which you charge money
  • Include the clipart from this site as part of any other clipart or graphics collection (except as mentioned above, as part of a website with 10 or fewer examples)
  • You cannot use the clipart to promote ANY political party or issue without my express, written permission. Write me if you are interested. Prepare to be disappointed.

Should you decide that you want to use the clipart for some money-making endeavor prohibited here, like include it in a clipart collection you'd like to sell, let me know. I'd be happy sell out for quite reasonable rates.

One last note. Even though you can use the clipart, I still own the copyright. So if you do anything that violates that, I'll track you down like a dog (not sure what that means, but tough guys on TV say it).

OK, two last notes, and this is the last of the two. If this sounds like too much legal crap for a simple clipart site, I apologize in advance. However, I have learned through experience that I have to protect myself. A few n'er-do-well's have tried to take advantage of me in the past, and I have to do some of this. Sorry.

Sorry.
